‘Cars 3; Receives One Final Trailer One Week Before Release

Cars 3 will be hitting theaters within the next week, but Pixar has provided us one last trailer to get us excited for what could be the conclusion of Lightning McQueen’s career. The trailer is titled “The Limit,” and features the Eagles’s “Take it to the Limit.”

The film focuses on Lightning McQueen as he attempts to cope with his fading popularity as newer, flashier racers begin to take over the racing world. McQueen must now work with a new coach in an attempt to become relevant again, using all of the new technologies that the current racers are using to become the best of the best. All of the voice actors will be reprising their roles, including Owen Wilson (Zoolander 2Masterminds), Larry the Cable Guy (A Madea Christmas), and Tony Shalhoub (Monk, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). The film also introduces two new main characters: Cruz Ramirez, the new trainer of Lightning McQueen voiced by Cristela Alonzo (The Angry Birds Movie), and Jackson Storm, the new antagonist voiced by Armie Hammer (The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Nocturnal Animals).

The director and writer of the film is Brian Fee, a newcomer to the directing scene, but has been with Pixar for many years, working as an artist on Wall-E and Ratatouille.

Cars 3 will be racing into theaters on June 16th.
