Feeling left out of all the Cannes debuts? Luckily, one of the Cannes releases can be seen in theaters later this summer. David Mackenzie’s Western thriller Hell or High Water premiered in the Un Certain Regard section yesterday to decent reviews.
Chris Pine and Ben Foster star as siblings who embark on robbery spree to save their family farm in New Mexico. Academy Award-winner Jeff Bridges plays a Texas ranger who pursues the thieves. Based on the intense trailer, the action flick seems to follow the styling of the Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men.
Hell or High Water will open on August 12 in limited release and August 19 in wide release. Watch the trailer below to catch of glimpse of the daring action sequences.
