Via Deadline, former Mummy star Brendan Fraser is set to join Martin Scorsese’s next film Killers of the Flower Moon. The flick started filming at the end of April and is still currently in production.
The film already boasts a cast of Scorsese A-listers in Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro as well as Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardina, and many more.
There is no word how big of a role Fraser will have in the film, but it is safe to say he will add something to the film. Fraser’s career has gone from an action hero to a meme to a pretty well respected actor. His last film, No Sudden Move, saw him gain a ton of weight in a very memorable performance in the Soderbergh crime-thriller.
Finding a role in a Scorsese film, no matter the size, will certainly lead Fraser’s career in a new intriguing direction. The actor has already come a long way from the family comedy Furry Vengeance.
Killers of the Flower Moon is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by David Grann, which has been adapted for the screen by Eric Roth. The 76 year-old Oscar winner Roth has previously won an Academy Award for his adaptation of Forrest Gump in 1995.
The Scorsese picture is currently filming and is due out by the end of 2021.
