Brand New Trailer Released For ‘Devil Wears Prada 2,’ Just A Month Out From Release

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming sequel to the 2006 film, The Devil Wears Prada. The latest look at Devil Wears Prada 2 comes just about a month shy of the film’s theatrical debut.

As the magazine industry continues on its steady downward trend, Miranda Priestly turns to desperate measures to keep her company afloat. When she gets an opportunity to make a large profit, she jumps on the chance, despite it resulting in her having to answer to her former assistant, Emily Charlton.

Although almost exactly 20 years after the first film, The Devil Wears Prada 2 isn’t afraid to pull out all the stops for the sequel. Meryl Streep is back to reprise her work as Miranda Priestly, one of the most iconic roles of her career. Also returning are Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Newcomers include Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, and Lucy Liu.

Deadline noted that the film is now in full swing with its marketing as it approaches the release date. There’s been multiple character posters released, with ones specifically for Hathaway, Streep, Tucci, and Blunt. On top of that, the film is going to feature a completely original song from Lady Gaga and Doechii, called “Runaway.” Part of the song can be heard in the trailer.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters May 1st. Check out the trailer below.
