Brad Pitt’s ‘F1’ Trailer Drops

Brad Pitt’s original F1 movie dropped its first high-speed trailer on July 7. The trailer premiered on Sky News right before the recent British Grand Prix. Now, it can be watched on the official F1 YouTube page.

The Apple original film was the work of leading man Pitt and the collaboration of 10 F1 teams, including Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, and Aston Martian. The film will wrap up production soon and hit theaters in the States on June 27, 2025. The international release will see the film start its sprint to the box office on June 25, 2025.

The story of F1 follows the fictional team with drivers played by Pitt and costar Idris Elba, as the two attempt to win with a dangerous car in the turns instead of speeding in the straight ways. “A car built for combat” as Pitt’s character says in the trailer. The film’s director, Joseph Kosinski, is best known for his recent work on the legacy film Top Gun: Maverick. For F1, Kosinski intends to reprise the same style and practical effects having gone to F1 races and filmed the cars.

Pitt has been a diehard fan of the motorsport for some time, including attending the recent race at the Austin Texas Grand Prix, where the press caught him engaging in conversation with seven-time F1 world title holder and record-breaking driver Lewis Hamilton, currently racing for Mercedes. With the stage set, it won’t be long until the Kosinski and Pitt film comes rolling up to the finish line in what is sure to be a passionate spectacle for the love of racing.
