After wrapping up filming on David Ayer’s WWII tank drama Fury, Brad Pitt is reportedly eyeing another WWII project. According to Deadline, the untitled film will be a “romantic thriller” scripted by Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Locke).
If a deal can be reached, this will be Pitt’s third WWII film after Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and the aforementioned Fury. The actor is coming off his Best Picture Oscar win for producing 12 Years a Slave, but is showing no signs of slowing down. With Fury hitting theaters in November and a World War Z sequel in the works, Pitt will have a busy schedule between acting, producing and promoting.
Very few plot details are currently available, however Knight’s script and Pitt’s possible involvement should be more than enough to garner significant interest in this new project.
Although a director has yet to be selected, production is expected to start early in 2015.
