Box Office Boom! ‘A Quiet Place: Day 1’ And ‘Inside Out 2’ Sweep The Charts And Set Records

A Quiet Place: Day 1 came into the box office screaming with a record for the franchise bringing in 98. 5 million, the highest for any of the series. Around 45.5 million came from the global market with the film performing a staggering 4 percent in total higher than the sequel, A Quiet Place: Part 2.

For the global market, if China is excluded from the total, A Quiet Place: Day 1 performed 20 percent better than A Quiet Place: Part 2. This horror blockbuster still has time to truck on and it is likely to see more revenue brought in with the domestic holiday weekend. This makes a massive win for Paramount Pictures as they gear up for Oscar season with more massive films slated to be released later this year from the studio.

Following its continuation of success, Inside Out 2 rakes in 1,014.8 billion making it the 18th most successful film at the international box office. This makes Inside Out 2 the most successful out of the Disney-Pixar sequels as well as the first animated film to reach this milestone in this time frame. Inside Out 2 still has yet to complete its international release wave with a few more countries slated to have it open. Inside Out 2 is still available in theaters and has shown no signs of slowing down.

Along with A Quiet Place: Day 1 and Inside Out 2, Bad Boys: Ride or Die brings in an additional 300 million to the domestic and international box office revenue for Columbia Pictures, and Illumination Despicable Me 4 is showing the expected amount of success with its continuing international release.
