Bon Jovi Movie Following Early Career In The Works At Universal

A Bon Jovi movie, following their early rock band career, is in the works at Universal. The film is set to be a biopic of Jon Bon Jovi in his early years, leading up to his rise to rock stardom. The film will also follow the rest of the Bon Jovi band members, including keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, and bassist Alec Johnall, all the way up to the creation of their third album, “Slippery When Wet.

The script is set to be written by Cody Brotter, an up-and-coming screenwriter whose previous work includes projects with MGM, produced by Amy Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr’s production company, Team Downey. The film is set to be produced by Kevin J Walsh and Gotham Chopra. Walsh’s previous producing credits include multiple recent Ridley Scott films and the Oscar-winning drama Manchester by the Sea. Chopra is best known for directing all four episodes of the Hulu documentary Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, which covered many of the same events that will be explored in this upcoming Bon Jovi movie.

No other details about this Bon Jovi film, such as casting, a director, or a possible release date, are known at this time.
