Are you ready to be rocked? The first trailer for the Freddie Mercury biopic so aptly titled Bohemian Rhapsody has officially been released by 20th Century Fox, and let’s just day that audiences are in for a magical, musical ride.
It’s no surprise that the trailer opens with, and carries throughout, that amazing and familiar rocker voice connecting to one of his many massive audiences, and when we see Rami Malek portraying Mercury nearly impeccably, we know we won’t be having much difficulty suspending disbelief for him or any of the other characters.
Although we do not see too much of the actual plot line throughout, we do know that we will be seeing the creation of the rock anthem, Bohemian Rhapsody, through all of its insane trials and tribulations. There are clear changes in Mercury’s style identically fashioned to show the passing of time through his and the rest of Queen’s run up to their unforgettable and massive Live Aid Concert in 1985.
Alongside Malek as fellow band members Roger Taylor, Brian May, and Jon Deacon are Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee, and Joseph Mazello. Mike Myers also performs alongside the young actors.
The film began as a directional piece by Bryan Singer, but after multiple issues on and off set with the seemingly flaky director, the position was taken over by Eddie the Eagle‘s Dexter Fletcher.
The film is set for release across U.S. theaters on November 2, 2018.
