Blumhouse Moves ‘Wolfman’ Reboot To 2025

Blumhouse has moved the release date for the upcoming Wolfman reboot to January 2025. They also pulled the original horror film The Woman in the Yard from their release calendar.

Originally, the film was set for a pre-Halloween release on October 25th of this year, but it was moved to MLK weekend on January 17, 2025. The studio has yet to make a statement explaining the delay, but it could be explained by either a delay in production or a desire to earn more from the weekend.

Meanwhile, The Woman in the Yard would have been released on January 10, 2025, but it was ultimately removed from the release calendar. Universal Studios will announce their reasoning and a new release date soon.

The Wolfman reboot has most of its plot under wraps. All that is currently known is that it stars Christopher Abbot as a man who must protect his family from a beast stalking them. Blumhouse and Motel Movies are producing the film with Julia Garner also slated to star in the feature.

Director Leigh Whannell previously led a similar Universal Monster project in The Invisible Man, where he reinvented the story to fit modern sensibilities while still making it original. Though most of the film is unknown, many horror fans have plenty to look forward to regarding its potential.
