‘Black Widow’ Standalone Film Gets A Writer

After much searching, Marvel has finally chosen Jac Schaeffer (upcoming Black List film The Shower) to write the highly anticipated standalone film Black Widow.  The decision came under the collaboration of actress Scarlett Johansson, who has already played Black Widow in 6 films, as well as the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. The actress was consulted by Kevin Feige to understand what she is looking for in a Black Widow solo story.

Ever since the appearance of such a strong female superhero, fans have been pushing to see Black Widow in her own movie. When Wonder Woman came to DC and Captain Marvel was pushed through Marvel, the reality of a Black Widow movie seemed to be more and more likely. With a writer officially onboard, the future looks bright for the fan-favorite heroine.

More information will be made available as is released.
