Screen Rant has just reported that actor Armie Hammer will no longer be acting the upcoming thriller movie Billion Dollar Spy. Hammer has officially been removed from the movie. The reason for Hammer’s removal is directly related to the several disturbing allegations of abuse and sexual assault made against the actor. Earlier this year many disturbing things that Hammer posted on social media which detail his interest in rape, violence, and cannibalism fantasies have been revealed. Also many women have come forward with allegations against the actor, and the LAPD has named Hammer as a suspect in a sexual assault case. Hopefully Hammer will face justice for his crimes.
According to the Hollywood Reporter Hammer was going to play a CIA agent named Brad Reid who would arrive in Moscow and meet with a Soviet engineer. Billion Dollar Spy will be going into production some time this year.
Since these allegation have come to light Hammer has been dropped from his agency. Besides Billion Dollar Spy Hammer has also been removed from several other projects. He was dropped from starring in the Lionsgate action comedy Shotgun Wedding, which he would have co-starred along side Jennifer Lopez. Also Hammer was removed from The Offer, which is a series about the making of The Godfather that is going to be released on Paramount+.
