

The complete lineup for the 75th Berlin International Film Festival has been revealed today. The festival is the largest of its kind globally and is set to premiere new films from acclaimed filmmakers. James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown and Bong Joon-Ho’s highly anticipated Mickey 17, starring Robert Pattinson, are announced to screen at the festival, though in non-competitive slots.
Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon is set to premiere at the festival. The film will chronicle the final days in the life of songwriter Lorenz Hart, and stars Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale, and Andrew Scott. Linklater has previously seen success at Berlin, earning the Silver Bear accolade for the 2014 drama Boyhood. Blue Moon will be distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures.
Other premieres include four-time Silver Bear winner Hong Sang-s00’s What Does That Nature Say To You? and Norwegian director Dag Johan Haugerud’s Dreams, the last film in a trilogy. Polish screenwriter Rebecca Lenniewicz will screen her directorial debut Hot Milk, starring Emma Mackey and Vicky Krieps. Mexico’s Michel Franco’s Dreams, starring Jessica Chastain, and France’s The Ice Tower, directed by Lucile Hadžihalilović and starring Marion Cotillard, Gaspar Noé, and August Diehl are also part of the lineup.
American director Todd Haynes leads this year’s international jury and will assist in delegating the winners of this year’s Gold and Silver Bears. Actress Tilda Swinton is set to receive this year’s Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement. Swinton has had an impressive total of 26 films screened in Berlin over the years.
