Ben Foster and Gillian Jacobs have officially become new additions to the upcoming Chris Pine vehicle Violence of Action and will have a production go ahead for principal photography in the U.S., Germany and Romania according to Deadline. Tarik Saleh of The Nile Hilton Incident will direct the film based on a script by J.P. Davis, with Thunder Road Film overseeing production and 30WEST financing. Pine and Foster will collaborate for the second time after the duo previously appeared together in the Oscar-nominated film Hell Or High Water.
Pine was confirmed to be cast as Violence of Action‘s lead role of James Harper, who becomes involuntarily discharged from the Green Berets and enlists in a paramilitary operation in order to keep his family afloat. Harper journeys to Berlin with a savvy squadron of black ops to infiltrate the threat. Little does he release that he is prey to his opposition and hunted across Europe upon being separated from his squad. Harper must now fight for his life in a mission to get home and uncover the truth about who betrayed him.
Thunder Road Film’s production duo Erica Lee and Basil Iwanyk are handling its creation while 30WEST has Dan Friedkin, Micah Green and Dan Steinman as executive producers alongside Pine.
