Saltburn actor, Jacob Elordi, was apparently wanting a break from acting until he took on the Wuthering Heights project as it entered production. Wuthering Heights recently wrapped its production in the UK as director Emerald Fennell, known for Saltburn, has teamed up with Elordi for a second time. Elordi was also reported to have skipped the audition process for Weathering Heights based on his established connection with Fennell.
Elordi recently told IndieWire,
“I was really lucky. I was going to take a break for a while, and then Emerald just very simply texted me, and you can’t run from that text.”
As Wuthering Heights is an adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel of the same name, the movie will also be starring Margot Robbie. When asked what it was like to work with the Barbie actress, Elordi said,
“She’s incredible in the film, she’s a livewire. I’m so, so excited for people to see it. She’s a beautiful actor and she gave so, so much.”
As Elordi is still wrapping production of the third season for HBO’s Euphoria, fans are eagerly awaiting his role in Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Frankenstein, set to hit the screens later this year.
Wuthering Heights is currently set for a release in February of 2026 from Warner Bros. It will also be produced by Margot Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.
