Becky G Documentary ‘Rebbeca’ Set to Premiere On New Years Eve On Netflix

Netflix’s Rebbeca follows the journey of Latin pop singer Becky G (Rebbeca Marie Gomez) as she navigates her life leading up to her Esquinas album. Rebbeca offers “an intimate, unfiltered look at Becky’s personal journey, creative evolution and the defining moments that have shaped her career.” The documentary highlights milestones not only in Becky G’s career, but also in her family’s journey, guiding her through her initial stardom through experiences of love, loss, and sacrifice, and, at the center of it all, music, serving as the common thread within her life connecting her Mexican roots to her artistic identity.

The Netflix debut follows limited theatrical screenings held nationwide on Dec. 10 and 13. Becky G made surprise appearances at a few screenings with fans in Los Angeles, and she will likely make additional surprise appearances at select showings in cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco. Premiering earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, Head of Music Vincent Cassous described the film as “more than just a portrait of a superstar,” adding that it is “a celebration of cultural pride, artistic evolution and the unbreakable bond between music and identity.”

At the premiere, Becky G spoke to the audience and reflected on her more than decade-long career, stressing that, “Even in the hardest of times, we can’t stop DREAMING,” and adding, “‘I can now because they couldn’t then,’ for that I will NEVER take this for granted.”

Netflix announced that the film will be out on the platform on Dec. 31 and will later be available to rent and purchase on Jan. 2, 2026, through streaming platforms such as Apple TV, Amazon, and many more. The film has a runtime of 98 minutes, is produced by Live Nation Studios and Trafalgar Releasing, and is directed by Gabriela Cavanagh and Jennifer Tiexiera.
