Baya Kasmi’s “Mikado” Has Been Boared By Pulsar Content

Kare’ Productions/ Films Grand Huit

The new film “Mikado” directed and written by Baya Kasmi recently was boarded by Pulsar Content. It’s one of a few films that the film production company has lined up for sale at the European Film Market.

Mikado focuses on a family that chooses to live in a van as an alternative lifestyle. Mikado and Laetitia are the two parents who, with their two homeschooled kids Nuage and Zephir, experience a traditional summer after the van broke down. The film is currently in post-production and will be starring Felix Moati (“No Man’s Land”), Ramzy Beria (“Don’t Die Too Hard), and Vimala Pons (“Vincent Must Die”) who all have worked with Kasmi before. Kare Production (“The President’s Wife”) along with Films Grand Huit (“Disco Boy”.

Kasmi wrote a beautiful script that caught the attention of Pulsar Content co-founders Gilles Sousa and Marie Garrett who said this about the script, “It is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time, and a wonderful role for Felix Moat.” Baya Kasmi has directed in the past The (In)famous Youssef Salem and I’m All Yours and along with that, she also has many co-screenwriting credits for projects such as Michel Leclerc’s Battle of the Classes, The Name of Love and Thomas Lilti’s Hippocrates: Diary of a French Doctor.

The film is currently in post production, and no release date has been announced.
