A new trailer has been released for A24’s Babygirl. The film is an upcoming erotic thriller about Romy (Nicole Kidman), a high-powered CEO who risks her well-manicured family and professional life when she begins an affair with Samuel (Harris Dickinson), an intern decades younger than her.

Along with Kidman and Dickinson, Babygirl’s leading cast includes Antonio Banderas, Sophie Wilde, Esther McGregor and Vaughn Reilly. The film is directed by Halina Reijn and is set to be released on Christmas, December 25.

The trailer opens with an awkward encounter between Romy and Samuel as they stand together in an elevator. As the trailer progresses, Romy’s family life is introduced, with scenes of her taking Christmas photos with her husband and daughter. Dialogue includes lines such as, “Being a CEO means being a nurturer,” and Samuel saying, “It’s about giving and taking power.”

This Babygirl trailer is similar to the first one, as it explores the film’s erotic energy, but it also delves deeper into the central tension of the story. The trailer effectively captures the film’s tone, which has been described as an erotic thriller.

With the film releasing on Christmas Day, it faces competition from other titles, including Nosferatu and A Complete Unknown.
