Jeremy Renner has been moved to the ICU following two injuries he sustained after a snow plow accident near his Nevada home.
The Reno Gazette-Journal said Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve advised that Renner was attempting to assist a driver in need of aid when the accident happened.
“He was helping someone stranded in the snow,” Schieve advised the paper. “He is always helping others.”

UPDATE 1/3/22 – Jeremy Renner’s spokesperson has announced that the actor incurred “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” on New Year’s Day. Renner also required two surgeries for his injuries.
Renner’s spokesperson also released this statement:
“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families.” Renner’s spokesperson continues, “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

Mayor of Kingstown star Jeremy Renner is currently in critical condition after an accident while plowing snow near his home in Nevada. Renner’s publicist Sam Mast explained what is now known about the incident to CNN:
“As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” Mast continued, “His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care.”
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office indicated that they responded to a “traumatic injury” but would not disclose the specific injuries Renner received or what caused the accident.
Renner has posted multiple times on his Instagram feed showing him plowing near his in Nevada, with one recently stating, “Nearly done with sledding hill for the kids.”
Renner is a two-time Academy Award nominee and currently stars in Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingston. However, Renner is best known for his portrayal as sharpshooter archer Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Disney and Marvel Have yet to release a statement regarding Renner’s accident.
