In the memorable post credit scene at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, we see Nick Fury and Maria Hill driving to meet someone before they are dusted and drop the pager signaling a call to Captain Marvel. However, there was a detail that hadn’t been sorted out- where were they going when this happened?
A recent Reddit discussion stated that in the scene, you can hear Fury say “Tell Klein we’ll meet him at –” before he disintegrates. This detail was generally skipped over, since the main focus was the hint at Captain Marvel. However, this character Cameron Klein (seen above) may be relevant in Avengers: Endgame if his name was dropped at such an important moment.
Klein’s first appearance was in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where he was one of the few members of Shield who remained loyal to Steve after the Hydra takeover. His second appearance was in Avengers: Age of Ultron when he assisted Nick Fury in the big final battle.
It is likely we’ll see him again in Avengers: Endgame, if he survived Thanos’ snap. We won’t know for sure until April 26, but until then, we’ll use fan theories to bide the time.
