Cover your eyes and close your browsers! Substantive clips from Avengers: Endgame has been leaked and is now being circulated online. Spoiler heavy screenshots, GIFs, and and small video clips have been reportedly released to Reddit and Twitter. While the leaks have caused a notable stir, none of the illicit content has not been verified as authentic.
It is speculated that the pirated footage, which is subtitled in Arabic, was illegally recorded during an early screening of the film. This theory is further reinforced by several seats visible in many of the images’ frames.
While this leak may horrify unsuspecting fans, it is unlikely to cut down the film’s appeal. Endgame boasts an all-star cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, Marc Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and many more A-list heros. The film will also bring back red-hot Infinity War directors, Joe and Anthony Russo. Endgame is projected to reach $200 to $260 million in its opening weekend and has even been speculated to reach as high as $300 million in its anticipated opening. In addition to unprecedented hype, Endgame is reported to have sold five times as many tickets than Infinity War via Fandango in each film’s respective first week of presales.
Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26. Today the Russo Brothers posted this letter urging fans to respect one another’s right to experience the film with no preconceptions when they see the film for the first time. Be careful out there until the film’s release and remember #DontSpoiltheEndgame.
