Atomic Blonde looks to be a crazy, action-packed film that features one of the most unique femme fatales in recent memory with Lorraine Broughton. Broughton is an MI6 agent sent to Berlin to investigate the death of a fellow agent and locate a list of possible double agents that mysteriously disappeared. The film is based on the graphic novel by Anthony Johnston and Sam Hart named The Coldest City. The trailer focuses on the car scene from the second trailer, with a longer, more detailed action scene.
Broughton is being played by Charlize Theron (Kubo and the Two Strings, Mad Max: Fury Road) and will be surrounded by amazing talent, including the likes of Sofia Boutella (Star Trek: Beyond, Kingsman: The Secret Service), James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class, Split), Toby Jones (The Hunger Games franchise), Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes, V For Vendetta) and John Goodman (Monsters, Inc., The Big Lebowski).
David Leitch has taken the directorial duties for the film, who is also directing the Deadpool sequel and worked on stunts on huge films like The Bourne Ultimatum and Fight Club. The screenplay is written by Kurt Johnstad, the writer behind 300 and Act of Valor. Atomic Blonde will be sneaking into theaters July 28th.
