Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns for the Sixth Terminator Film

Legendary stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 71, and Linda Hamilton, 62, will both return for the sixth entry to the Terminator franchise – Terminator: Dark Fate. The actors have cemented themselves as a staple of the franchise since their debut in the original 1984 sci-fi classic. The film is said to follow after the events of the 1984 original and its acclaimed 1991 sequel. The subsequent films will likely be excluded in iconic franchise’s dystonia time travel cannon.

When asked by Variety about her decision to reprise her role as the bad-ass terminator slayer, Sarah Connor, Hamilton stated, “I gave it probably six weeks of intense thinking and consideration before deciding to do it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to. I didn’t want it to look like a shameless money grab.” She continued, “I am living this quiet, lovely life that doesn’t involve being a celebrity, and you really have to think, do I really want to trade that in again for another 15 minutes?”

The actors look to make a splash in the domestic box office. While each of the Terminator films has achieved reasonable success in the international market, American audiences have not been as invested in the franchise since James Cameron’s 1991 follow-up to his original groundbreaking film. Look for Terminator: Dark Fate to open in domestic theaters on November 1st.
