Another Round of Films Announced for Fantasia 2015

If the first wave of films didn’t make you want to trek across the Canadian border to attend the 2015 Fantasia International Film Festival (unless, ya know, you already live there) then maybe these ones will.

Fantasia already had some loose connections to the last South by Southwest Film Festival (what with new project from the folks behind Turbo Kid being announced). Now the SXSW bonds have grown stronger, as a few more films that played at the Austin-based fest are heading north; including: the horror/crime thriller/comedy, He Never Died, starring punk raconteur Henry Rollins as an immortal cannibal (which one of our writers loved); the ’70s haunted house throwback, We Are Still Here; and the suspenseful indie road movie produced by the Duplass Brothers, Manson Family Vacation.

Other films set to play at Fantasia 2015 include veteran Hong Kong action director Ringo Lam’s first directorial effort since 2007, Wild City; the documentary about the reunion of one of Britain’s most famous comedy teams, Monty Python: The Meaning of Live; and the Nigerian zombie flick, Ojuju.
