20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2. The original film released two decades ago in 2006, and was directed by David Frankel, who is also the director behind this upcoming sequel.
In the trailer, we see Andy (Anne Hathaway) reunite with Miranda (Meryl Streep) at Runway Magazine nearly 20 years after the events of the first film. Andy becomes the new features editor at Runway, despite Miranda seemingly not remembering who she is. In the trailer she says, “Who is this? Do you know her? Do I know her?” Along with Nigel (Stanley Tucci), they cross paths again with Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), who unlike Miranda, vividly remembers her time with Andy at Runway.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 features plenty of returning cast members, including Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman. New members to the cast include: Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley, Pauline Chalamet and B.J. Novak. David Frankel is back to direct the follow up to his The Devil Wears Prada, and he has also directed Band of Brothers and Marly & Me.
