Anna Kendrick Turns to the Hitman’s Life in ‘Mr. Right’ Trailer

Focus World has released a trailer for the upcoming action comedy Mr. Right, starring Anna Kendrick (Get Job) and Sam Rockwell (Poltergeist). The film follows Martha (Kendrick), a woman who starts dating a former hitman (Rockwell) who has taken it upon himself to kill those who hired him.

Max Landis (Chronicle) wrote the film which looks to be in similar vein of American Ultra which released last summer. He wrote the script for American Ultra, a film that also featured an unlikely action hero. The trailer for Mr. Right shows Kendrick fighting off killers along with Rockwell. Paco Cabezas (Rage) directed the film. The RZA and Tim Roth (The Hateful Eight) also star.

This is the third trailer released for Kendrick’s full slate of 2016 comedies that includes Get Job and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.  Meanwhile, Rockwell is less busy this year though he will appear in the 2017 animated comedy The Adventures of Drunky as the titular character.

Mr. Right is set to release on April 8. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.
