Aldis Hodge and Tracy Morgan Sign on to in ‘What Men Want’ with Taraji P. Henson

According to Hollywood Reporter, actors Aldis Hodge and Tracy Morgan are set to act alongside Taraji P. Henson in the comedy What Men Want from Paramount Players. Back in February, Variety reported that Adam Shankman was tapped to direct the film, which is taking inspiration from the early-2000s rom-com What Women Want, helmed by Nancy Meyers.

In the first film, Mel Gibson stars as a chauvinistic marketing exec that garners the ability to hear women’s thoughts following a freak accident. In this female-led reboot, Henson will play a sports agent that consistently overlooked and overpowered by her male co-workers. The plot of the film is set in motion once she gets the supernatural talent to read men’s inner thoughts. She puts this power to good use, altering the paradigm of her work environment and getting big players to join her team.

To many fans’ relief and happiness, Morgan is finally gracing television and film screens following his life-threatening car accident in 2014. The 30 Rock standout stars in the new TBS original comedy series The Last OG, which premieres this Tuesday April 3rd. It looks like this film will have a mini reunion too: Hodge and Henson have already shared the screen before in their big hit, Hidden Figures. His fans won’t have to wait until What Men Want to enjoy his next work, as he will also be acting inMagic Camp.

What Men Want will hit theaters next year on January 11.
