‘Act of Valor’s Scott Waugh to Direct ‘Eye In The Sky’

Scott Waugh is set to direct the upcoming action-packed thriller film Eye In The Sky. Waugh is most well-known for his 2012 war film Act of Valor with Mike McCoy, as well as his film adaptation of Need for Speed (2014) starring Aaron Paul

According to Deadline, Eye In The Sky will follow an arms dealer who escapes his prison transport. The dealer ends up hijacking a Blackhawk full of weapons and drives it all around downtown Los Angeles. Now, it is completely up to a LAPD helicopter pilot to follow and take down the dealer before the entire Los Angeles city is destroyed.

Along with Waugh directing, Cindy Cowan is producing. Millennium Films is financing.

Waugh seems to be a perfect match for this film, as he is known for his gripping and dynamic thrillers. His film Act of Valor was extremely well-received, especially for using real Navy-SEALS to be a part of the complex action sequences. He most recently directed SNAFU, an upcoming action adventure feature starring John Cena and Jackie Chan. The film is a Chinese co-production slated for release in 2022.

Waugh is repped by Artists First and Stuart Rosenthal at Goodman Genow. The cast of the film and release date have not been released yet.

Melissa Cusano: I love to escape reality with reading, writing, movies, and music! If I'm not working I love to go to concerts (pre-covid), play video games, and hang out with my dog Ozzi.
