Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences Selects New President Of Academy Foundation Kim Taylor-Coleman

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has appointed a new president of the Academy Foundation. Kim Taylor-Coleman has been chosen to fill the role moving forward, elected to serve a one-year term, as is the standard for the position. 

Taylor-Coleman hails from an extensive history as a casting director. With dozens of films to her name, she’s worked on BlacKkKlansman, Hustle, High Fidelity, and Da 5 Bloods, among many others. Her credentials even include executive producer on films such as Emergency and The Inspection, among others. 

Hollywood Reporter noted that as well as Taylor-Coleman, several other members were elected to the Foundation board very recently. Newly appointed members include Brooke Breton, Simon Kilmurry, Isis Mussenden, and Marlon West. 

“Through the work of the Academy’s museum, collection, and educational programs, the Academy Foundation furthers our mission to celebrate artistry and innovation in filmmaking, inspire new generations of filmmakers, and preserve our global film history,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer said in his official statement. 

Kramer went on to express his gratitude to those who fill the role, saying that their leadership helps to drive the organization forward, as well as advancing the numerous initiatives that they come up with.
