Abby Ryder Fortson, a 15-year-old actress and star of the newly released Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, has recently signed with WME, or William Morris Endeavour. WME supports actors all throughout Hollywood, including but not limited to Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, and Jessica Alba.
As stated, Fortson played the titular Judy character in Are You There God?, based off of the book of the same name. The story follows Margaret as she begins the strenuous process of growing up and learning how to navigate life. The book was written by Judy Blume, and the film features Fortson alongside other A-list actresses such as Kathy Bates and Rachel McAdams.
In 2015, Fortson was featured in Ant-Man, as the daughter to the pint-sized hero, Cassie Lang. She reprised the role in 2018’s Ant-Man And The Wasp, which brought her back into frame with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly. For 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, her character was aged up in the story, and she did not return to the role.
Fortson has also dabbled in the television side of things, as well. 2015 saw ABC’s The Whispers in it’s one season run. With Steven Spielberg serving as an executive producer, it featured Fortson in one of the 13 episodes of the show.
On top of the recent signing, Fortson accepted the CinemaCon award for a rising star.
