A24 has confirmed that the upcoming Zendaya and Robert Pattinson romantic comedy, The Drama, will be released in April 2026. Though the plot remains mostly under wraps, the story follows a couple whose relationship is tested when one partner uncovers an unsettling truth about the other days before their wedding.
The film, which wrapped production at the end of 2024, is both written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli. Borgli last wrote and directed the A24 production, Dream Scenario. The 2023 film starred Nicolas Cage as a man whose life changed when strangers start recognizing him from their dreams.
Zendaya recently earned widespread acclaim for her performances in Luca Guadagnino’s film, Challengers (2024), and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two. She has also won a Golden Globe and two Emmys for her portrayal of Rue in HBO’s Euphoria. Pattinson, perhaps best known for his role as Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga, will next appear alongside Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming Lynne Ramsay film, Die My Love.
The cast also includes Alana Haim (Licorice Pizza) , Mamoudou Athie (Jurassic World: Dominion) and Hailey Gates (Challengers). Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen are serving as producers under their Square Peg banner. Borgli and Tyler Campellone of Dilemma Films are producing as well.
The Drama is scheduled to be released on April 3, 2026.
