A24 has dropped an electrifying teaser for The Moment, film starring Charli xcx. Based on an original idea from the Brat singer, the fictionalized depiction of the music industry is directed by Aidan Zamiri.
The teaser opens in a dimly lit bathroom where Charli reunites with her Bottoms collaborator Rachel Sennott, just as a rave-style title card flashes Zamiri’s name.
“How does it feel to have claimed the whole summer?” Stephen Colbert asks Charli in a clip referring to the album featuring songs like 360 and Von Dutch, that took the world by storm.
“Yeah, I mean, it just kind of happened,” she answers. The teaser cuts to Charli revealing the Brat banner during a stadium performance.
The star-studded cast of the film includes Rosanna Arquette, Hailey Benton Gates, Kate Berlant, Jaime Demetriou, Kylie Jenner, Isaac Powell, and Alexander Skarsgård, alongside Charli and Sennott.
Charli is making a place for herself in the movie industry as she is starring in the Gregg Araki (Mysterious Skin, The Doom Generation) film I Want Your Sex. She is also co-producing and writing songs with Jack Antonoff for the upcoming A24 film Mother Mary.
Zamiri penned The Moment with Bertie Brandes, while longtime Charli collaborator A. G. Cook composed the score. A24 will distribute the film, with Studio365, 2AM, and Good World producing.
The under-wraps film was announced earlier this year. It hits theaters January 30, 2026.
