A New Trailer For ‘Scream 7’ Reveals Ghostface Going After Sydney’s Daughter During Super Bowl 2026

Neve Campell as Sidney Prescott in Big Game Spot for 'Scream 7'

A new first look at Scream 7 sees Ghostface going after another Prescott, Sidney’s daughter. The spot aired during the first half of the Super Bowl 60 coverage of the Seahawks vs. Patriots game and showed Ghostface back in Sidney’s life, taunting her and her loved ones once more.

As the title states, this is the seventh installment in the Scream franchise, with the original released nearly 30 years ago. Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox are set to reprise their iconic roles as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers, respectively. David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley are also set to reprise their roles as town sheriff Dewey Riley, Ghostface killers Stu Macher, and Roman Bridger.

Two more familiar faces will grace our screen in the forms of Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, who reprise their roles as twins and relatives of Randy Meeks, Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin, who were introduced in 2022’s Scream, the fifth installment overall. They are joined by newcomers to the franchise, Isabel May as Tatum Evans, Sidney’s daughter, and Joel McHale as Mark Evans, Sidney’s husband and a police officer. The rest of the ensemble includes Anna Camp, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.

The official synopsis for the Paramount Pictures’ feature states,

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are released as her daughter (May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

By the looks of the Super Bowl spot, Sidney certainly is facing some horrors with shots of Ghostface claiming their next victim, Sidney scanning a house frantically with a gun, Ghostface getting ready to set something on fire, and Isabel is in the midst of running away from Ghostface. This feature is directed by Kevin Williamson, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Guy Busick, inspired by a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt. Gary Barber, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Cathy Konrad, Ron Lynch, Marianne Maddalen, Peter Oillataguerre, and Chad Villella are credited as executive producers. Paul Neinstein, William Sherak, and Vanderbilt are all named as producers.

Tickets for Scream 7 are set to go on sale on February 9th, while Scream 7 will release in theaters on February 27th.
