The trailer for Disney’s upcoming live action movie Cruella was released earlier this year, giving us a first glimpse of this next villain origin story from the studio. The movie will explore the backstory of the glamorous villainess of the original 101 Dalmatians movies, Cruella de Vil, and actress Emma Stone will be playing the fur loving titular character. The plot will be set in 1970’s London and follow a fashion designer named Estella de Vil, who earns the interest of a clothing label owner named Baroness von Hellman. Some how over the course of the story Estella will transform into Cruella.
Now Total Film has released some new pictures that provide a little sneak peek into the movie. The photos show Emma Stone as the fashion designer Estella de Vil, before she transforms into fur obsessed villainess we all know. The pictures also reveal Cruella’s future bumbling sidekicks Horace and Jasper, who are being played by Paul Walter Hauser and Joel Fry respectively. There is also a photo of the Baroness’s valet, John, who is being played by Mark Strong. Another picture is of Kirby Howell-Baptiste playing the character Anita, who is a journalist and a friend of Cruella. Presumably Anita is the future owner of the Dalmatian dog Perdita and the wife of Roger in 101 Dalmatians.
