Liam Neeson hops aboard another thriller, as the actor is set to star in an action crime thriller entitled Memory, directed by 007 filmmaker Martin Campbell of Casino Royale and GoldenEye fame according to The Hollywood Reporter. The script of Memory is written by Dario Scardapane who previously compiled The Bridge and derived from an original Dutch film known as The Memory of a Killer.
Cathy Schulman, who worked on 2008’s Crash through her Welle Entertainment banner, will be producing the film next to Rupert Maconick and Arthur Sarkissian. Black Bear Pictures’ Teddy Schwarzman, Michael Heimler, and Ben Stillman will all serve as executive producers, with Black Bear completely funding the film. Photography is currently scheduled to begin in August.
Memory stats Neeson as Alex Lewis, a seasoned assassin with a precisive reputation. Lexis finds himself in trouble when he turns down a mission for a deadly criminal syndicate, and that said organization places a bounty on his head.
“Memory is an exceptional high-concept script, and we could not be more excited to have Liam on board to star,” exclaimed John Friedberg. “Martin is a true expert in elevating the genre, and will make an explosive version of this compelling and pulse-racing story.”
