Knives Out, the latest film from Rian Johnson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Looper), is set to release on November 27th. It wasn’t long, though, for the director himself to announce through Twitter that the film would be given a special early screening a week before its release.

Knives Out’s current synopsis stands, “as a modern take on the whodunit murder mystery, the film follows a family gathering gone horribly awry when the family’s patriarch (Christopher Plummer) dies and two detectives (Daniel Craig and Lakeith Stanfield) are sent to investigate the scene.” This will be Johnson’s first film since the backlash of The Last Jedi, looking to dabble with other genres as a means of keeping his options open until his rumored trilogy is confirmed.
Currently Rotten Tomatoes has Knives Out sitting at 99% fresh, praising Johnson’s ability to create a riveting story that’s not short of A-list casting. Many fans will be eager to see Johnson back at what he does best, flipping narratives that create twists and turns the audience will undoubtedly enjoy. Knives Out features a cast that includes;Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collete, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer.
