After a six year hiatus, the indie provocateur Harmony Korine is making a come back with a new Neon film, The Beach Bum.  The neon soaked, drug infused adventure follows Matthew McConaughey playing Miami resident, Moondog, a rebellious poet who just wishes to march to the beat of his own drum.

The film also stars Snoop Dog, Zac Efron, Isla Fisher, and Martin Lawrence. The film has already shown references of stories regarding smoking real weed on the set with Snoop Dog, staying in line with Korine’s gritty and heightened nature as a filmmaker. His last film to make waves was Spring Breakers, which turned a typical group of college girls into dangerous and erratic criminals.
