It is always an amazing feat when a cult classic film receives a sequel because of the fans’ excitement, and Super Troopers is one of the cult comedies that will now be returning to the big screen for a second time. The new trailer for our favorite Vermont troopers has officially released, but now they will be experiencing new territory.
Super Troopers 2 will follow the story of the Vermont State Troopers after the events of the first film. When a dispute between Canada and the United States over a particular piece of land arises, the Vermont squad has a station placed in the area in order for the United States to stake their claim in the matter. Whether or not this is the best decision is definitely up for debate, as the Super Troopers will begin their shenanigans in a foreign land.
The original five Super Troopers are returning for the sequel which includes Jay Chandrasekhar (Thorny), Steve Lemme (Mac), Kevin Heffernan (Farva), Paul Soter (Foster), and Erik Stolhanske (Rabbit). The cast also includes newcomers Emmanuelle Chriqui and Rob Lowe. Chandrasekhar directed and wrote the film with help on the script from the other four troopers. The film is set to release on April 20.
