The Broadcast Film Critics Association handed out their annual awards for the year’s best achievements in film on Thursday night. The Shape of Water came away the big winner, taking home the Best Picture accolade, while Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri continued its streak from the Golden Globes, picking up several more major awards.
Somewhat left in the lurch this time around were Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird, a big Golden Globe winner, as well as Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name and Jordan Peele’s Get Out. However, one of the year’s fan favorites, Wonder Woman, got its time to shine among the critics’ praise.
