Emilia Clarke (HBO’s Game of Thrones) and Jack Huston (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) are set to star in Above Suspicion.
Phillip Noyce (Salt) will helm from Chris Gerolmo’s (Mississippi Burning) screenplay adaptation of Joe Sharkey’s 1993 book detailing the tragic true-to-life story of an FBI rookie agent (Huston) who gets involved with a seductive troubled informant (Clarke) and winds up killing her. Colleen Camp (American Rhapsody) is producing.
Clarke will be starring opposite Sam Claflin (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) in this summer’s Me Before You, which centers on a woman who takes care of a recently-paralyzed man and the romance that ensues. Huston has just completed filming of Ben-Hur in which he stars in the title role; the film is set to open August 19th.
Above Suspicion starts shooting May 23, with plans to launch international sales at next year’s Cannes Film Festival.
