Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) is set to star in Jim Jarmusch’s (Only Lovers Left Alive) Paterson, according to Deadline. The film follows a bus driver and poet in present-day Paterson, New Jersey. The film also stars Golshifteh Farahani (Body of Lies) and Kara Hayward (Moonrise Kingdom).
Driver’s career has been on the rise since many saw him on the HBO comedy Girls. Since then, Driver has appeared in films including Inside Llewyn Davis, While We’re Young, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Driver will be seen next in the science fiction drama Midnight Special.
Paterson is the first film from Jarmusch since 2013’s vampire drama Only Lovers Left Alive. Amazon Studios picked up the picture last summer when they acquired the historical drama Elvis & Nixon. Late last year, Amazon released their first film in Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq which was released to rent and purchase shortly after it hit theaters. Paterson will likely get the same treatment.
No plans for a release date has been announced for the film at this time.
