Fans looking to catch the first trailer for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will have have to make the commitment to see Mad Max: Fury Road. Sources have confirmed the trailer will be attached with the reboot of the post-apocalyptic franchise starring Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises), Charlize Theron (Prometheus), and Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past).
Warner Bros. has slowly been building hype for the movie, releasing images of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. They released the first footage of the film at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The footage showed the heroes meeting to square off in the rain.
Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) is directing the movie that will officially kick-off the DC Cinematic Universe when it releases March 25, 2016. The movie will be followed by Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman before the Justice League unites in Justice League Part One come 2017.
The trailer was was originally rumored to attached to Warner Brothers’ Jupiter Ascending, but given the fact Jupiter Ascending failed to bring in audiences, and the hype is positive around Mad Max, it looks like they made the right call.
Mad Max: Fury Road will release May 15.
