Street Fighter packed a strong punch for its opening weekend. Taking the first-place crown, this action flick makes it mark in video game adaptation history with a strong start. While not as strong as Resident Evil’s from just five weeks back, its 31 million domestic opening is nothing to scoff at. In a surprising turn of events, a documentary takes second place with You Can See Everything netting 15 million for its premiere, following the story of Emily Holmes, brought to screens by A24. Third place goes to Other Mommy with 8.35 million in its sophomore outing, hanging inside the top 3.

Whalefall premieres to 8 million this week, beating newcomer Sense and Sensibility, which only managed to catch 7.25 million for its premiere. Verity in its third week takes home 6.2 and sixth place, Resident Evil takes seventh with 5.5 million in its fifth week. Heart of the Beast lands in eighth with 4.83 million and Jailer 2 in ninth for its opening weekend that ran long sitting, at a total of 5.3 million, but only 3.25 for the 3 day weekend. Forgotten Island took tenth this week with 2.25 million.
