Spider-Man: Brand New Day keeps swinging past records with a fourth weekend in a row on top of the box office, bringing in 39 million. Spider-Man absolutely crushed the competition, with its lead pushing newcomer Insidious: Out of the Further down to second with its 25.3 million haul. This wasn’t a one-sided front either, as The Odyssey came close to overtaking Insidious with 19.5 million in a third-place finish.
In a surprising turn of events, Paw Patrol: Dino Movie took home a fourth-place finish with 9.1 million. The End of Oak Street dropped down to fifth place with 9 million, holding strong against new release Mutiny, which brought in 7.5 million for its sixth-place finish. New from A24 is Tony, which took home 5 million for a seventh-place finish, pulling past the original Fast and the Furious re-release, which ended its anniversary run at 3.1 million in eighth place. Ninth place went to Spa Weekend, which saw 3.05 million at the specialty box office, beating Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma,’which landed in tenth place with 1.93 million.
