
The list for movies to premier at the 33rd Oldenburg Film Festival was released, with world premiers and movies previously premiered at other film festivals. One of the movies to receive it’s first world premier is Kill Me Now. This Michael Polish (Northfork) film, stars Jacqueline Singer, as a writer who has a deadline to finish a thriller but starts to notice things happening to her that happen in the story. Boris Mojsovski’s (Titans) Canadian film Foreign Tongue is another to receive a world premier at the festival. The movie is to star Kimberly Sue Murray (Die Alone) and follow the immigrant experience.
Among the movies to have a second release at the festival is Edgar Pêra‘s (Perpetual Movements: A Cine Tribute to Carlos Paredes) Asphalt Guerilla. Previously premiered at Locarno, this documentary blends fiction and non-fiction to tell story of bank robbers in 1970’s Portugal. Bertrand Mandico’s (The Wild Boys) psycho-drama Roma Elastica is also making a return to the screen after having it’s premier at the Cannes. The movie follows Marion Cotillard (Inception) as an actress losing her mind filming a sci-fi movie in 80’s Italy.
The Oldenburg Film Festival runs from September 16th to the 20th.
