Netflix has announced its lineup for the Netflix Is A Joke Fest, returning to Los Angeles from May 4-10, 2026. The annual comedy festival will feature a wide range of stand-up performances, live events, and special presentations from talent including Jerry Seinfeld, John Mulaney, Lizzo, Nikki Glaser, and Conan O’Brien.
This year’s festival will spotlight three film-related presentations, including the filming of Nate Bargatze’s upcoming Netflix comedy special; a red-carpet premiere of Marty, Life is Short; and special screenings of the comedy classics The Princess Bride and Naked Gun.
Named “one of the funniest people” by CBS Mornings, the Grammy and Emmy-nominated comedian Bargatze will bring his Big Dumb Eyes World Tour to the Intuit Dome on May 9 and 10. Bargatze is known for his clean, family-friendly comedy and also stars in the upcoming film, The Breadwinner, which he co-wrote.
Marty, Life is Short, directed by Lawrence Kasdan, premieres on Netflix May 12. The film combines archival footage and exclusive interviews to tell Martin Short’s story. The project is executive produced by Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer and Ron Howard.
On May 4, audiences can attend The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, featuring a screening of the beloved film followed by a moderated discussion with Elwes.
David Zucker will host a Q&A at the Egyptian Theatre on May 5 to discuss his 1988 comedy, The Naked Gun.
