Halina Reijn is getting ready to collaborate with A24 once again. Under the title of Please, Reijn will be writing and producing the project as well. 

As of this writing, the only talent attached to the film is Gracie Abrams. Abrams, daughter of J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath, made a name for herself thanks to her musical talent, skyrocketing in popularity after opening for several major artists. Please marks the first time that Abrams is breaking into acting in a feature film. 

Hollywood Reporter was able to note during their coverage that there’s very little known as to the nature of the story. The only details that have been divulged is that it’ll be a period piece focusing on the life of a woman in that time. 

As far as feature films go, this will only be Reijn’s fourth. Her other directorial features include 2019’s Instinct and 2022’s Bodies Bodies Bodies. Her most well-known, however, is Babygirl, featuring Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson. Between Bodies Bodies Bodies and Babygirl, Please is the third time A24 and Reijn will be teaming up for a feature film. Reijn will be writing the film as well, akin to how she penned the script and directed Babygirl.
