Bleecker Street’s event cinema division, Crosswalk, and Universal Pictures Content Group (UPCG) have acquired Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience, a concert film documenting the global K-pop phenomenon’s record-breaking tour. The film will open in theaters nationwide on February 6, with an IMAX early access engagement beginning February 4.
Stray Kids, comprised of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N., is one of the most successful K-pop groups in the world today, having sold more than 30 million albums globally.
Directed by Paul Dugdale (Adele: One Night Only, Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour), the film captures Stray Kids’ landmark Los Angeles performance at SoFi Stadium. The trailer features a heartfelt voiceover, “If it wasn’t for you guys, we wouldn’t be here,” paired with high-energy concert footage and behind-the-scenes moments that offer fans an intimate look at the group’s journey.
Produced by Live Nation Studios, Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience has already generated more than $1.4 million in U.S. ticket sales within its first 24 hours. The film will be released across multiple premium formats, including SCREENX, 4DX, ULTRA 4DX, and IMAX, where available.
The acquisition follows the recent announcement that Stray Kids will headline this year’s Governors Ball Music Festival. The group is represented by Korean agency JYP Entertainment. Tickets for the theatrical release are on sale now.
