Quentin Tarantino shuts down rumors that he was working on Kill Bill Vol. 3. Tarantino’s next film will be about a film critic, which will be his last. Fans of Tarantino hoped that he would revisit the Kill Bill movies before he is set to retire, as he could cast Uma Thurman’s daughter Maya Hawke for Kill Bill Vol. 3. Tarantino addressed this in an interview with DeMorgan that a third installment is not happening. Tarantino said, “I don’t see that. My last film is about a film critic, a male critic. And he plays in the 70s.”
In 2022, Thurman talked about a potential third installment happening on the Jess Cagle Show. Thurman said, “I can’t really tell you anything about it. I mean it has been discussed over the years. There was real thought about it happening, but very long ago. I don’t see it as immediately on the horizon.”
Tarantino even talked with Thurman back then about possibly doing another installment as they would use ideas that didn’t make the cut to Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2. And fans of Kill Bill were hyped as they saw Vivica A. Fox appears in the singer, SZA’s Kill Bill, which made people believe that SZA would play Fox’s daughter in the third installment. Fox did an interview with CBR as she expressed, “I think the main draw is that people love Tarantino’s work.” Fox continues, “He’s always got this weird quirkiness that surprises you, that intrigues you, and that makes you want more.”
