Director Chad Stahelski’s John Wick: Chapter 4 has kept the tradition of the franchise by outperforming its predecessor in earnings. Regarding previews, the forth film has been able to make $8.9 million at the domestic box office.
Because of the film’s high profit from the previews alone, it is expected to earn anywhere from $65 million to $70 million for its opening weekend. This would put it ahead of the third film’s opening weekend, which resulted in $56.8 million. As was previously mentioned, each of the John Wick films have been able to outperform the one before. This is further demonstrated by the fact that first film made $14 million its opening weekend while the second made $30.4 million.
To emphasize this point even more, although Chapter 4 cost $100 million to produce, according to Deadline, it is assumed that it will generate the “highest total of the series.” With such a prediction, there’s no doubt that the film will be able to overcome Shazam: Fury of the Gods, which is currently ranked at the top of the box office.
This new film once again stars Keanu Reeves as the expert fighter hit man John Wick. This time, Wick is faced with the challenge of taking down the High Table.
